Mails close for Australian colonies on Saturday, Oct. 16, at 1.30 p.m. Mails for the Northern ports of New Zealand, will close at Christchurch at 4.15 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 16, 1869. Mails will close at the Chief Post Office, Christchurch, on Saturday, Oct. 30th, for the undermentioned places: — ITor Northern provinces of New Zealand, the Australian Colonies, United Kingdom, via Suez and Marseilles, the Continents of Europe, Asia, Africa, and America at 9 p.m. Jfor newspapers at 6 p.m. For money orders and registered letters at 5 p.m. Late letters for all the above places can be posted until 8.45 a.m., on Sunday, October 31, by attaching an extra sixpenny stamp in addition to the full rate of postage.
