♦ "Wellington, dept. 26, 5.15 p.m. Dr T?eatherston has returned from Manawatu, having settled satisfactorily with the non-sellers ; 5000 acres are set apart as a reserve for them. The Lands Court yesterday ratified the arrangement. George H. Harris, clerk in the Post Office, Duuediu, and Frederick Basire Postmaster, at Port Chalmers, are gazetted as being dismissed from the public service. The Governor has gone from Wanganui to Patea overland. The Taranaki is now afloat.
