Tue M.A. and N.Z. Co.'s s.s. Alhanibra, Capt. McLean, arrived in harbour this morning at 8.30 a.m. from Melbourne, via West Coast ports and Wellington. The Alhambra left Port Phillip Heads at 5.30 p.m. on the 20tb. August ; experienced light variable -winds down, and arrived off Hokitika at 2 a.m. on the 26th; left Greymouth for Nelson at 4 p.m. on the 28tli, and arrived at 12 noon on the 29th; sailed at 2 p.m. on the 30th for Wellington, and arrived at 11.30 p.m. same day; left for Lyttelton at 2 p.m. on the 31st, and arrived as above. Met with light winds and fine weather across the Straits. We are indebted to Mr Norris, purser, for files.
