The Pleasant Creek News states :-!-" We hare received information of the existence of a silrer-Dre mine, some few miles from the township of Cavendish. The discoverer has accompanied a prospecting party to the spot, and we shall, in a few days, be in a position to place before our readers the result of their researches." "At length," writes the Ovens Spectator, " a systematic search is about to be made in the Beechworth division of this district for a tm lode, diamonds, and precious stones. A diamond collecting machine will be at work at Sebastopol within the week, and experienced men will be employed to search the ranges between the Pilot and Beechworth for tin ore."
