The hack numbers of the Monthlies have arrived, and may. now be had by those who have failed to supply themselves from other vendors. The Advertiser is sensible of the disappointment felt by those parties whose papers have bee^t delayed or withheld, and which has caused him 'the deepest regret, hut he can assnre them that the fault does not lie witb him. The goods were all properly ORDERED and PAID FOR each month in London, at the Bank of New South Wales, and he can only ascribe the grievous mistake that has occurred, to an error of judgment in his London Agent, who seems to have been at a loss how to act when the Panama Mail Service .collapsed. Now, however, that gentleman has explicit instructions to forward all papers and serials direct through the mail via Suez, and no further disappointment need .be anticipated. In conclusion, the advertiser gratefully thanks those who have kindly construed his misfortune, and waited until its cause was removed.:.- To those who have felt.it right to ! blame him, and withdraw their orders, he would say, that during the many years he has , been in trade, he has never broken faith with j his customers, and he hopes they will not < desert him now. The papers for . them have been paid for in the belief that they would' be received ; lif thrown upon his hands, they are merfe-iraste, as such goods cannot be'lfent to other marEeti,Vor he saleable at another season ; the result might to him be ruin, and his only consolation would be to know that he had done his best, and that he suffered for another's mistake.
