This Day. The Speaker took the chair at noon. The following members were present : — Messrs Buchanan, A. Duncan, Potts, Maskeii, Matson, Kennaway, Hornbrook, W. Williams, Lee, J. 8. Williams, Hall, Peacock, Waeckerle, Fyfe, Hargreaves, Ormsby, Bucklev, Jollie, Moore, Hillyard, Studholme, Knight, and Hawkes. THB OKPHANAGE. Mr Peacock asked, without notice, whether it was the intention of the Government to bring forward resolutions embodying the recommendations of the Orphan Asylum Committee, conveyed in their report last session. Mr Jollie replied tbat this being an extraordinary session, tbe Government did not think thatordin:iry business should be brought before the Council. road boards. Mr Hall asked, without notice, whether the Government intended to print a return showing the working of the various Road Boards during tho year 1863. Mr Jollie replied that ifc would be for the Council to order the return to ba printed. Mr Hall said he would take an opportunity of bringing the matter before the Council, and gave notice to that effect. TRESPASS OF CATTLE BILL. Mr Hall desired an extension of time till Tuesday next for the bringing up of the report of the Committee on the Trespass of Cattle Bill. 1869. I he extension was granted. LITTLE RIVER RESERVES SALES BILL, 1869_ This bill was read a third time and passed. Notices of motion were given, and the Council adjourned at 12.10 until 5 p.m. on Tuesday next.
