The schooner Rose of Eden, Captain Early, from Kaiapoi, which was towed in yesterday afternoon by the s.s. Waipara, left Kaiapoi on the night of Monday, the 12th inst., with a strong westerly breeze, which next day veered to the N E., blowing light. On the 14th, at 4 p.m., got a southerly breeze, which carried her as far as Cape Farewell, on the lsth. From thence to Cape Foulwind, S.W. winds were encountered for seven days. On Friday last a light easterly breeze was met with, and on Saturday she was off this roadstead, but on Sunday she was blown off by the heavy gale from the north which prevailed on that day, and again by the easterly breezes of Tuesday. She again arrived off the bar at noon yesterday, aud was picked up by the s.s. Waipara and brought to the wharf. —Grey River Argus, April 29. •
