Mails for the continents of Europe, Asia, Africa, and America, the Australian colonies, Otago, and Southland, will close at Chriatchurch on Friday, the 14th inst. Time of closing in a future notice. Letters for the Australian colonies can be posted till 6 p.m. this day ; late letters until 10 p.m., by an additional 6d stamp. The latter will be forwarded overland, via Hokitika. Mails per Celceno, for London, close at Christchurch on Tuesday, May 4, at 3.45 p.m Letters must be specially addressed.
