S~i RAND DEMONSTRATION In Aid of the FORESTERS' AND ODDFELLOWS' WIDOW AND ORPHANS' FDND, Will take place on the first and second days of the arrival of H.U.H. the Duke of Edin- ! burgh, in the paddock belonging to his Worship the Mayor (John Anderson, Esq.), who has kindly given the use of it for the occasion, situated at the corner of Cashel and Barbadoea streets. THE FETE Will consist of Rural Sports, viz. : — HUEDLE, FLAT, AND SACK RACING VAULTING WITH THE POLE, Performances on the HORIZONTAL BAR, And other amusements. The World Renowned RICHARDSON'S SHOW!! The Grand Company of Artistes will make their appearance before an admiring audience, for the first time in Canterbury, in Tragedy, Comedy, Farce, and side-splitting Pantomime, written expressly for this occasion, combining Acrobatic Feats, Dancing, Comic Singing. &c, &c, such as have never been before attempted on any stage. THE FANCY FAIR Will be replete with articles of elegance, luxury, and use, too numerous to mention in an advertisement. THE ROTUNDA Will be fitted up expressly for those who delight to trip on the light fantastic toe. THE REFRESHMENTS Will be of the very best description, and suited to the requirements of all persons honouring the Fete with their presence. AN EFFICIENT BAND WILL BE PROVIDED. The Grounds will be Brilliantly Illuminated during the eveniog. Gate open at 10 a.m. Admission 6d ; Children half-price. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN.
