J- W.; Peaked Red Hill, S.W. J W. : : Also, of a small pinnacle, about three feet I square, awash at low water; the point cf , Cape Direction bearing E.by S. peak of lump, S. by E. JE.; Lloyd Island being at the same time just open to the northward of Low Island. He also reports having seen in the same , bay two rocks just awash, bearing from • the small sandbank S.E., and from X reef , S.W. by S. . Also^near the Pipon Islands the "Melanie" , struck on a patch of rocks not laid down in the charts — North Bay Point bearing S. by E.JE., and the east end of Pipon Islands, , S.W. by W.JW. As the tide was about halfebb.Avhen she touched, this patch cannot have more than three feet of water upon it at low water.
