High Water— April 9, 1.49 a.m. ; 2.10 p.m. The s.s. Phcebe sailed for Wellington at 7.30 last night. Tins ship Matoaka is- rapidly loading. She has now 2100 bales of wool on board. The Fawn, brig, Captain Wood, has nearly finished loading. She will sail for Auckland in a few days. Tim barque A. IT. Badger, has completed her discharge of coal, and has commenced loading grain for Melbourne. The p.s. Comerang, Captain Chrisp, sailed for Dunc:liD, via intermediate ports, this morning, afc 11.30. The s.s. Ahuriri, Captain Plowerday, arrived in harbour this" morning at 8.15; left Wellington at 7.30a.m., 0n Wednesday ; arrived at Kaikonras at G. 15 p.m.; sailed at 9.50 p.m., and arrived as above. She sailed for Dunedin at 1 p.m., this day. We arc indebted to tlie purser for files. Ax inquiry into the cause of the wreck of the schooner Golden Isle, was made yesterday, at the Customs, I/ytteltou, before the Collector of Customs and Registrar of Shipping. The evidence of the captain, and also of Captain Gibson, Port Officer, showed that the wreck must be attributed solely to the fury of the gale, and tliat no Maine could be attached to Capt. McDonald, who did all he could to save the vessel;
