The Wainui, s.s., sailed for Dunedin via intetmediate ports on Saturday afternoon. Beautiful Star, s.sl, Captain Hepburn, arrived in harbour last night, at 9.30, from Dunedin, and will sail for Wellington this afternoon. The schooner Canterbury arrived in harbour yesterday morning from Picton^ after a lengthened passage, owing to head winds. She brings a cargo of timber, consigned to Mr P. Cunningham. The Canterbury hauled in to the screw-pile wharf this morning to discharge her cargo. • T HI _ pS" Comeran &> Capt. Maillor, arrived in harbour on Sunday evening, at 6.30, from Dunedin, via intermediate ports ; left Port Chalmers on Friday at 3 p.m., with fresh N.E. breeze, and arrived at Timaru at 6 a.m. on Saturday ; discharged 50 tons of cargo, and took in 150 bales wool, and sailed at 6 p.m. the same day ; experienced strong head winds all night ; arrived at Akaroa at 10 a.m. on Sunday ; sailed for Lyttelton at 11 30 a.m., and arrived as above. We are indebted to the steward for files. The M. A. and N.Z. Co.'s s.s. Gothenburg, Captain Thomas Underwood, arrived in harbour yesterday, at 2 p.m., from Melbourne via Bluff and Dunedin ; left Hobson's Bay at 3,40 p.m., 25th ult., passed Port Phillip Heads at 5.30, Cape Shanck at 8.30, and Swan Island at 4.40 p.m. on the 26th, experienced fine weather and westerly winds during the passage, arriving at Bluff at 6.30 p.m., 2nd inst.; discharged 80 tons cargo, and sailed at 5 p.m. on the 3rd, arriving at Port Chalmers at 6 a.m. next day ; discharged 170 tons cargo, and sailed for Lyttelton at 6 p.m. on the 6th, arriving as above; experienced light N E winds during the passage.
