The cause is stated to be the cost of improving an estate of two thousand acres 'of poor laud. The fiferald nays the liabilities (not stated) are ifiqstly outside the Bank... If; is said that the liabilities amount to £76,000, of which £6000 are due to the Bank. ' Te Kooti is eaid to have died of his wounds the,.; day. after the capture of Ngatapa. This news is reported from Tauranga, and believed; it is also stated thp.t he was shot through the lungs.
