CANADA.

The Repeal agitation and discussion continues in Nova Scotia. A teriffic gale passed over Halifax on the night of Dec. 7 ; about 30 vessels were damaged in harbour. Whelan, the Fenian assassin, is respited to the 29th Dec. In consequence of the Ministerial changes in England, Sir G. E. Cartier and the Hon. Mr M'Dougall return from Canada, and make another trip after next session of the Dominion Parliament, to settle negotiations connected with the acquisition of northwest territory. Considerable anxiety is felt about the troopship Simoom, which left England on Nov. 18 for Halifax.
