The p.s. Comerang sailed for Timaru and Akaroa yesterday at 11 a.m. The p.s. Betsy Douglas and Novelty conveyed a large number of visitors to H.M. ship Challenger yesterday afternoon. Tub barque Crishna hauled off the screwpile jetty into the stream yesterday morning, and is expected to sail early to-day. The s.s. Omeo brought 30 passengers from Dunedin to Akaroa, to spend their holidays. The s.s. Omeo was able to go right up the harbour, and anchor off the town. Had there been proper wharf accommodation, she could jiave gone alongside. The Keera, s.s., J-yce, Commander, arrived •in harbour yesterday at 3.30 p.m. f om Dunedin. She cleared Otago Heads at 3 p.m. on Wednesday last, arrived same evening at Oamaru, where she discharged a portion of her cargo; sailed again at 1 1 p.m., arrived at Timaru next morning at 5.30 a.m. ; remained there taking in wool for the ships Hydaspes and Blue Jacket until 8.20 p.m.; arrived at Akaroa at 7.30 following morning, and sailed again at 11 a.m., arriving at this port as above. We are obliged to Mr Gillies, purser, -. for files. The A.R.NT. Co.'s steamer Omeo, Captain H. Mackie, arrived in harbour yesterday at 2 ■ p.m. from Melbourne, via Bluff and Dunedin and Akaroa. She cleared Port Phillip Heads at 4.30 p m. on the sth inst.; passed Swan Island at 4 p.m. the following day. Experienced light variable winds the first four days, ' the strong N.W. gales with very heavy sea compelling her to lay- to for 15 hours. Passed the Solander at 6 p.m. on the I Oth, and ar- ■ rived at Bluff harbour at 5 a.m. on the 11th; ■ailed for Port Chalmers at 4 p.m. same day, and arrived there at 6 a.m. on the 12th; sailed again at 3.30 p.m. on the 1 4th, and arrived at Akaroa at 8 a.m. on the Isth; left at 9.30, and arrived at Lyttelton as above. We are ■ obliged to Mr Norris, purser, for files. The Omeo sails this evening with the English .Suez mail.
