This Day. His Honor Mr Justice Gresson sat in the Court Chambers at 11 a.m. In Banco. BE LEACH T. DUDLEY'S EXECUTORS. Mr Slater, for the defendants, applied for an order directing that certain books of accounts be taken as pnma facie evidence of moneys paid. Mr Wynn William b, for the plaintiff, contended that Mr Slater had failed to make out such an exceptional ease a3 would entitle Mr Slater to obtain such an order as he now applied for. The cases cited by Mr Slater, and upon which he relied, were all of them extremely exceptional ones. The fact that the books had been correctly kept was no proof that the payments were good. His Honor said that the case had been before the Court for some time, and that this was the first he had heard of the correctness of the accounts being disputed. He thought that the matter might be amicably arranged, without incurring such a ruinous expense aa would be attendant upon continued litigation. Ultimately the rule was granted, subject to the plaintiffs having liberty to object to any item. BE CHRISTOPHER LEACH, DECEABED. Probate was granted to the executors of the will of the deceased. Mr Jameson made the application. In Bankruptcy. be thomas hill. The final examination of the bankrupt was fixed for February the 4th. Mr Cottrell appeared for the insolvent.
