MR HALL AT PREBBLETON.
— * — The hon. John Hall; by request, met a portion of his constituents at Prebble's hotel, hist night, for the purpose of expressing his views on the present condition of the colony. The chair was occupied by Mr A. C. Knigh,t M.P.C ; and over one hundred persons were present, among whom we noticed Messrs W. Montgomery, M. P.C, Wynn Williams, M.P.C., J. S. Williams, M.P.C, H. J. Tancred, M.H.R., and M.P.C; Major Cracroft Wilson, C.8., M.H.R., Major Hornbrook, M.P.C., W. Wilson, M.P.C, J. N. Tosswill, S. :D. Glyde, — Goodwin, W. Slater, D. Nairn, J. Miln, C. Marchant ; the Revs R. S. Jackson, J. Campbell, &c, &c. Mr Hall addressed the meeting for upwards of three hours. The proceedings were not concluded till about half-past eleven o'clock, having commenced about a quarter to seven. The following resolution, proposed by Mr W. Montgomery, and seconded by Mr John Miln, was carried unanimously : — " That the thanks of the meeting be accorded to the Hon. John Hall for his attendance here this evening, but this meeting disapproves of the conduct of the Stafford Government.
