PANAMA.
Intelligence has been received <j>f the loss of the Panama Railroad Company's steamer Parkerburgh, off Tigsr Island. The passengers, mails, arid nearly all the cargo were saved. I William Parker, Superintendent c : the Panama railroad, was shot with i revolver as be sat in his office on th a I morning of Sept. 24, by an enginee r ' named Baldwin, who, after firing twi > shots at Parker, fired at his own head . Parker died in half an hour. Bald win is expected to die in two days.
