The freight on wool has been mentioned at fd for greasy, and Jd for washed. These rates will, it is understood, be' charged in Dunedin. The Light Brigade, which will be the first wool-ship' of the season, has now about 600 bales on board, and by the end of next week a large will no doubt be made to tlis. There is a much' better feeling in the grain market with regard to oats. A rise is confidently looked for in Melbourne now that our supplies to that market are pretty well at an end ; 2s 6d has been paid during the Jast day or two. Wheat appears to be entirely in the .hands of our millers, who are only buying in anticipation of lower rates.

Th« Customs rerenue collected at Christchurch amounted to £29 19s sd. case, 17E Id; salt fish, 4 packages, 8s ; saddlery, 1 case, £1 10s; other receipts, 10s. The Customs revenue collected at Lyttelton to-day amounted to £152 11s 7d. The 'following were th« items : — Sugar, 6720 lbs, £28 ; spirits, 176£ gals, £105 18s lOd ; light dues, £2 Is 5d ; pilotage, £16 11s 4d.
