. NEW ADVERTISEMENTS. HAGLEY PARK ROAD. THE Committee appointed at the public } meeting held October 20, to promote the formation of the above road, have decided not to take part in the Meeting called by the y Mayor for WEDNESDAY [This Evening,] for the following reasons :— Ist. That the question of the desirability of the ahove road having been acknowledged by the Government some years since, and now acquiesced in by the members of the Domain Board, who are the custodians of the Park, it ii only a matter for decision as to the time for doing it, and the method of paying for it. 2nd. That the willingness of a number of the citizens to bear a large share of the cost, if the work be done at the present time, is a convincing proof that in their opinion some advantages will arise from the road being opened up, aud no counterbalancing disadvantage being brought forward by opponents it is thought unnecessary to discuss the question at the ensuing meeting. The Committee respectfully suggest that the supporters of the movement abstain from taking part in the meeting. W. A. SHEPPARD. E. B. BISHOP. J. P. JAMESON. J. V. ROSS. J. LEWIS. J. S. TURNBULL.
