THE Committee appointed at the pub!:c meeti?g held October 20, to promote the formation of the above road, have decided not to tjke part in the Meeting cilled by the Mayor for WEDNESDAY EVENINGNEXT, fir tbe following rejuoos : — Ist. That the qucjiion of the desiraWiiy of the above road having been acknowledged by the Government some years s'nee, and now acquiesced in by the members of the Domain Board, who are the cuslodians of the Park, it ia only a matter for decision as to the time for doin j it, and the method of paying for it. 2nd. That the willingness of a number of the cilizans to bear a large share of the cost, if the work ba done at the present time, is a convincing procf that iv their opinion some advantages will a-ise from the road being oopned up, and no counterbalancing disad\iilla3e being brought forward by opponents it is thought unnecessary to discuss the question at the ensuing meeting. The Committee respectfully suggest that tbe supporters of the movement abstain from faking part iv the meeting. W. A. SHEPPARD. E. B. BISHOP. J.P.JAMESON. J. V. ROSS. J. LEWIS. J. S. TURNBULL. .
