CRICKET.
The return match between the past and present Collegians and the United Canterbury Club, came off yesterday, on the ground at Hagley Park. The match could not be played out, and was therefore decided by the first innings in favour of the College. There was nothing remarkable to be noticed in the play except the batting of Moore, who ran up a score of 50 in his first innings and 25 in the second in good style. It is a singular coincidence that the score in the first and second innings of the Collegians should exactly correspond. A scratch match wiil be played to-day. College.
