(Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.) Police Cases. — James Francis was charged with having cattle at large in the town and fined ss. — Wylie for a similar offence wa* dismissed with a caution. Breach of Cattle Ordinance. — James Gerrardwas charged with allowing a beast to stray from the district, contrary to the Ordinance -, having given the police notice of the fact, the case was dismissed. Drunk and Disobderlt. — Edward O'Shaughnessy was charged *ith being drunk and disorderly in L. Monk's licensed house ; the case being proved, he waa sentenced to 48 hours' imprisonment. John Green, similarly charged, also with attempting to stab, was sentenced to 48 hours' imprisonment.
