U ♦ THROUGH HAGLEY PARK. TO TUB EDITOR O» THE STAR. Sir, — I do not suppose " Outsider " at tended the meeting held at the Criterion Hotel, or eren read the various letters and articles that have lately appeared in the Star. Surely he must be a Greenhorn per Blue Jacket, or. must have been in a state of coma for the last three or four weeks, or he would not have put forth in his letter yesterday that " Tug " speaks of the question as one resting with the ratepayers of the city, and so on. In the leading article of the Lyttelton Times of Wednesday, Nor. 4, there is a passage, and with your permission, I will give the quotation, which I think is very applicable : — " It is the act of a fool to argue with a lunatic." Your obedient servant, TUG. Christchurch, Nov. 4.
