The Star Office, This Day. The land sales to-day amounted to 125 acres, as follows : — Malvern district, 100 acres ; Waitangi do, 25 do. Messrs Wilson and Alport yarded 73 head of cattle on Saturday, and report the following prices : — Ordinary dairy cows, £G 7s 6d to £8 ; fair quality do, £9 5s to £10 ; superior do, £12 to £14 10s ; heifers, 1 at ±'3*l7s 6d, 3 at £5 5s to £6 15s; do, recently calved, £7 5s to £9 2s 6d ; yearling steers, £2 2s Gd to £5. T. Preece's saleyards and auction depot were on Saturday well supplied with live stock, produce, implements, furniture, &c. The weather being favourable, there was a numerous attendance of buyers and others. We quote the following prices : — Pigs — large porkers, 26s to 32s each ; small do, 9s to 15s each ; suckers, 5s each ; sow and 7 pigs, 40s ; young sows, 253 to 30s each. Poultry — turkeys (small), 5s to 5s 6d each ; ducks, 5s to os 9d per pair ; fowls, 3s to 4s per pair. Produce — flour (seconds), 14s to 15s per 100 lb ; do inferior, 10s do ; sharps, ls ; bran, 9d per bushel ; wheat (for chickens), 3s ; barley do, 3s to 3s 6d; oats (seed), 3s; chicken feed, 2s 6d per bushel ; potatoes (Derwents), £3 to £3 10s per ton ; do for pigs, Is 9d to 2s 6d per bag ; hams andbacon (inferior), 3Jd to 4£d per lb *, do medium quality, 5d to 6d per per lb ; cheese (inferior), 3d to 4£d per lb ; do (good), 5d to 6d ; lard, 5d to 6d per lb.
