♦ The Star Office, This Day. The land sales to-day amounted to 145 acres, as follows : — Malvern district, 100 acres ; Rakaia, 25 acres ; Port Lyttelton, 20 acres. Messrs Wilson and Alport report considerable firmness in the sales of cattle at the Carlton Yards on Wednesday: — A small mob of prime fat steers and cows was sold by them at £12 15s per head, or equal to 37s Gd per lOOlbs.; good quality dairy cows, £10 each.
