+ [BY SUBMARINE TELEGEAPH.] Wellington, Ocfc. 7, 7.32 p.m. Colonel McDonnell has resigned, it is said on Colonel Haultain's intimation that it was necessary to know bis intentions as to remaining in service, with a view to completing the front arrangements. Titokowam is reported to be at almost half-a-dozen places. The Native contingent at Wereroa declare, they will not serve under any one else than Colonel M'Donnell. , Von Tempsky's force is disbanded. Capt. Frazer intimated to the Patea settlers that free passages would be provided, if they would send the women and children away. 3^- The King's proclamation, alluding to a telegraphic wire from Heaven to himself, says : " That men should be chosen out of each place as posts for doors ; that when the proper month arrives, and the foot is firmly planted down, th-atis the time.Thisis thewordof the wires — listen to it — October is the mouth in which the whole island will arise, and there will be no end."
