THE CATHEDRAL.
The following is the report of the Cathedral Commissioners for 1868. It was submitted to the Synod by the Rev. Canon Wilson :— The Cathedral Commission hare to report that during the past year no progress has been made in the erection of the Cathedral. The engagement of the Resident Architect has terminated, aud his account with the Commission is cluietl. The Architect's office on the Cathedral site is now in the occupation of Mr Mountfort, architect, having been let to him conditionally, that he shrill vacate it when required, for the prosecution of the work. The Commission can only express their regret that a work commenced under the most encouraging prospects is for the present brought to a close. The hope of further progress must depend on a marked revival of commercial prosperity in the Province, and on the renewed zeal and increased libarality of Churchmen. K. J.
