LYTTELTON BOROUGH NOMINATION.
The nomination of members in the place of Councillors Balestiee, Chalmers, and Mutton, took place this day at noon, in the Colonists' Hall. The Mayor presided. The fbllowing gentle nen were nominated : — John Kenner, C. 11. Woledge, If. Hawkins, :0. S. Ellisdon, K. A. Hargreaves, J. W. Julian, William Reed, Antony Wenstall, K. W. Roper, Thomas Mutton, A. Chalmers J. L. Balestiee, and Mr W. Holmes. The latter was declared to be ineligible. Tha meeting whs addressed by Messrs Kenner, Ellisdon, Roper, Mutton, and Har greaves. The Mayor announced that a poll would be taken on Thursday next, at the Municipal Chambers, commencing at 8 a.m , and closing at 4 p.m. A vote of thanks to the Mayor wa* carried by acclamation.
