Councillor Ward seconded, and after some (llfiCUfislon, It was paused, Tho Mayor stated that ho had had another conversation with tho Hculdont Magistrate respecting the now court-house ; from what he could learn ho thought tho Government woro willing to hand over to the Corporation tho J. 400 votod, if they would erect tho building, A long (llnoiisfllon onsuod. It was tho opinion of tho Councillors that something tangible should bo brought boforo thorn, Tho Mayor mild ho would nco tho Kcsldcnt Magistrate again on tho subject, Councillor Chalmers wasasked if ho had any idea of tho cost of getting tho bill passed i It must bo some years boforo tho bill could como Into fores, Councillor Ward thought Messrs Mncfnrlan and NoUldgo might bo employed to get tho hill into proper shape.
