DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB’S SHOOT
GOOD SHOOTS RECORDED ON PAPAMOA RANGE A strong cross-wind conspiring with very dull overhead conditions made accurate shooting almost impossible at the second “shoot” conducted by the Te Puke Defence Rifle Club on the Papamoa range during the weeknd. There was a good attendance of members and the telephone system between the firing bank the butts worked perfectly. In the two official events at 200 yards and 300 yards A. West scored 50 out of a possible 70, and won the trophy donated by Patterson’s Bargain Stores. The next shoot will be held in a fortnight’s time and Mr A. West has donated a prize for the most improved score on the day. 200 300 Pos.
