The chairman. Mr W. G. Parker, said such a scheme would only be practicable if it had Dominion wide observance. When asked for his opinion. Mr Rochfort said he considered the idea advisable and he could set* nothing against it. Tt was decided that tb • committee should approach the balneation Board, suggesting that it would be an advantage if the Christmas vacation could be arranged so as to have two weeks at Christmas time and the other four -weeks during February. Tile Board is to bo asked to take the matter up with the Education Department to see if the scheme could not he arranged on a Do-minion-wide basis.
