BOXING CLUB
FIRST ANNUAL MEETING HELD
(By Southpaw) There was a fair attendance at the first annual meeting of the Te Puke Boxing Club. Prior to the election of officers, Mr Harrison thanked all those who had helped in establishing the club, to the Tauranga Club, and also, especially, Mr N. James,, the coach. Mr A James* had given valuable eoaeliing- to all, and the success of the Club is in no shall measure due to him. The election of officers resulted as follows:-—Patron. Mr W. E, Hookey; president, Mr F. Holden; vice-presidents, Messrs. Harrison, Austin and Grafas, lion, sec., Mr Des. Harrison; committee, Messrs Burt, Boyd, Shirk, James and F. Burrett. We would advise all members in ten-dinar to take part in the tournament that they will have to go into thorough training. WtvSJlguldL. also like, to record the from Mr Burrett oLtlie affiliation fees. Committee members are reminded that a meeting will be held after next Monday’s practice.
