INFORMATION PLEASE

(To the Editor)

Sir,—-Mr Holland hits seen fit io criticise tire gift of ten millions to Britain. lie agrees that tin 1 gift is a just one, hut stales that it won't put one mouthful into the mouths of the people. We have agreed to send Britain ten million pounds worth of woods, mainly foodstuffs, which she does not have to credit our overseas fund with. Surely this gives her a chance In export manufactured woods to some other country in exchange for foodstuffs. At present Britain is receiving the whole of our food exports.- If Mr Holland knows of a higher-or better way to help Britain, surely it is his dufv to step down off the top rail and fell-us how wo can send inore foodstuffs to Britain. If he can do so we can still put his idea into practice and help Britain w ithout any loss orchardships to ourselves. I am etc., l>apun.on -I. If. WILTS.
