ANNUAL MEETING ADJOURNED NO QUORUM Owing to so few being present at McDowell’s Hall on Tuesday afternoon last,' it was resolved to adjourn the the Horticultural Society’s meeting until 26th September. ■ The several mem befs present were of opinion that it was impossible to hold further flower shows if the public, did hot interest itself more, and give encouragement to those few, who year after year, worked hard and untiringly to. keep alive one of the few attractions . the town possesses. After some discussion it was decided to make another effort, and a show will lie held on September 12, The meeting was unanimous that if sufficient support was not forthcoming, this would be the final show as far os the present organisers were concerned.! . •
