KITCHEN EVENING
Miss E. Gooding, a popular young member of the community was the guest of honour at a kitchen evening in the Otamarakau Hall, on Monday night last, Iwhen a large number of friends gathered to show their appreciation and wish her good luck on her approaching marriage. Dancing was the feature of the evening and Miss J. Mikklesen and Messrs G. Webber, B. Lowe, and Don Campbell kindly supplied the music. Mr G. Shearer was master of ceremonies.
After supper Miss Gooding opened up the numerous packages the contents of which were on display for the remainder of the evening. Mr Babbage, on behalf of his fiancee, thanked those present for their many useful gifts and for their expressions of good-will. Among those present were : Mesdames E Reynolds, Martin, McGarva, Main,Donald,Mortensen,McDonald - and Misses E. Gooding, J. Pepperell, J. Lee, R. Voyson, H, aUd P, MacDonald, M, Smith, M. Mortensen, J. Wagner, J,, S\ and A. Mikklesen, S. and P. Law and J. Collins. •
