BADMINTON AND PING PONG CLUB

Opening of Season

The Te Puke Badminton and Ping Pong Club opened the season on Thursday with a very successful evening their being over 50 members and friends present. Mr J. Gray very capably arranged the games of badminton and Messrs Wilson and Freeman controlled the handicap ping pong tournament. The president, Mr H. N. Freeman, in a brief speech declared the season open. The ladies provided a dainty supper. The winners of the ping pong tournament were Miss P. Hemphill in the ladies’ section and Mr P. Hickson in the men’s.
