Rugby Football

United Club

The annual meeting of the United Club was held in the Town Board office on Tuesday evening. Mr R. C. Steele presiding over a large attendance of players and supporters. The minutes of last annual meeting were read and confirmed and the balance sheet, showing a small credit balance, was adopted.

Messrs E. Joyce, W. Burt. E. Capon, S. K- Pv. 1£ Dunlop, P. Hicks and L. Manning; Senior selectors, Me s s E. Joyce, J. Bennett and P. Hicks ; Junior selector, Mr J. Con way ; Social Committee. Messrs K. Dunlop, E. Joyce, W. Webber, J Conway, P. Hicks and S. Kelly ; Delegates to Rugby Union, Messrs L Manning, J. P. Ryan and E. Joyce.

It was decided that 'he annual subscription be the s^me as last year, viz. 5s for senior players and 2s 6d for juniors. The Club Captain and Secretary were instructed, to see that all members were instructed to see >h*t all members were fina r cial before taking the field. Discussion tork place with regard to the dressing sh d accommodation at the field bring inadequate and it was decided to write to the Upton about the matter.

On the motion of Mr Steele, seconded by Mr Ryan, it was decided that the Rugby Union be approached with regard, to the Cup won by the United Juntors and other trophies in- order th t these should not go astray. A hearty vote of thanks to Mr E. Lowe for his offer to donate a football to the juniors conoiudad the business.
