We are requested to state that the date of the clearing sale to be held by the N. Z Loan and Mercantile on account of Mr G. Dunton, Kati Kati, has been altered from Wednesday, May 30, to Tuesday, May 29.

The relief workers at Pukehina have appealed to the Tauranga Borough Council for reading matter and the letter has been referred to the Library Committee for consideration. Perhaps some local residents might be able to to forward books, magazines, or newspapers |to the camp. They would certainly be much appreciated.

Picture patrons who had the pleasure of seeing the beautiful picture “Viennese Nights,” will no doubt make an effort to be present at the Capitol Theatre tonight or to morrow night, when “Kiss Me Again” will be screened. Thu two pictures are of a similar type, full of gaiety, with beautiful girls in beautiful dresses, of ficers in bright uniforms and gorgeous scenes of City life all in techni-colour. The supports are also exceptionally, good and a very enjoyable entertainment can be anticipated. We give a reminder of the annual sale of pedigree Jerseys to be held by the N. Z, Loan and Mercantile Co., on behalf of Mr George Bishopriok, Te Puke, on Thursday 31st inst. Mr Bishoprick’s, stock is well known as being very high class; and in these days of low prices the sale will afford buyers an opportunity of securing valuable animals at a moderate figure. The Company will also hold clearing sales at Ohauiti on account of W. M. Skinner on the 28th inst, and at Katikati on the 29th inst,, on account of Mr G. Dunton.
