Shipping Freights

(To the Editor) Sir.—l have no intention of entering into a paper controversy with Mr Gill re the merits and demerits of the Blue Star Line. My only reason for replying to the cablegram was to point out to farmers that it was misleading and inaccurate. Mr Gill’s statement that the Dairy Board and the Meat Board are “tied” to the existing shipping companies is too ■ superficial to need refuting. Now that the Blue Star Line have approached the two Boards they will receive the same consideration as the other British Shipping Lines.—l am etc, C. L. LUKE, Member N. Z. Dairy Produce Bd.
