SOCIAL AT NGAWARO
A very pleasant evening was spent at the Ngawaro school on Saturday, September 9th., when a plain and fancy dress social and dance was held.
Although the weather was not very favourable a fair number gathered, evidently with the full intention of enjoying themselves* and they were not disappoint^
Among those present in, fancy dress were : —Mrs Pamplin, Japanese lady ; Mrs Butcher, Nurse; Mias G. Butcher, Night; Miss Steel, Gipsy; Miss F. Steel, Evergreen; Miss Gillespie, Spring; Miss Beaumont, Flower Girl; H. Beaumont, Japanese; Miss Pamplin, Fairv: Miss M. Pamplin, Butterfly; Messrs W. Beaumont, Departed Spirit; H. Beaumont, Paper Parcel; Butcher, Sergeant Jones ; Melton, Clown ; Pamplin, Tired Tim; Steel, Cow Boy ; D. Steel, Nigger ; R. Steel, Page : C. and W. Pamplin, Pierotts; N. Steel, Cards ; G. Gillespie, Sailor.
