Palmerston N„ July 17, In common with other centres, the butter shortage is becoming acute in Palmerston North. The secretary of the local Dairy Union states there are absolutely no stocks of good butter, and only five tons of whey butter in the hands of retailers. There will be no supplies for about three weeks, when the new season should commence. ,
