The sale of leases of sections on Freeman's Bay Reclamation and the Reclamation East of the Power Station, which was fixed by the Auckland Harbour Board for March 2nd, has been postponed for four weeks, and will now take place on March 30th. The leases are for fifty years, and will be sold by public tender. The land comprises 40 sections on the reclamation fronting Quay Street, three sections in Fanshawe Street, five in the Strand, Parnell, and 147 on Freeman's Bay Reclamation. This is one of the most important land sales which has yet been held in the city of Auckland. All the sections are on level ground, approached by level streets from the wharves and railway station, and are ideal for factories, warehouses, bulk stores, etc. The sections on Freeman's Bay Reclamation are in close proximity to the new coal and oil wharf, which the Board is building; whilst those on the reclamation fronting Quay Street are adjacent to King's Wharf and the new railway goods sheds.
