The "Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act, 1915," offers Financial Assistance to a Soldier to acquire private agricultural land ? house property, or. a business, with a view to his Settling thereon. A number of properties have been submitted to Government for this purpose, but a difficulty has been found in getting in touch with the men wanting them. Many propositions offered might be eminently suitable, but the men who are directly interested have found great difficulty in getting a proper register to make a choice from. At present tnia Association has over 2,000 inquiries from our members in New Zealand, and from soldiers overseas, to try and get them suitable properties. A Register is now being compiled by this Association. It is our aim to get every property for sale in the Auckland Provincial District included in it.
