T AST Saturday the second round of District Club Championship w ere continued. Matches were played by— University v. North Shore. Parnell v. Ponsonby. Eden v. Grafton. There were no outstanding features in the play on Saturday, excepting perhaps that W. Moore and Brooke-Smith each recorded centuries. * * * Eden v. Grafton. This match was played on Eden Park. Eden was in possession of the wicket all the afternoon, scoring 362 runs for nine wickets. This included Brooke-Smith's innings of 108. «' • • Parnell v. Ponsonby. In this match, the former made an unexpected stand. Batting all the afternoon, they made 358 runs for five wickets. W. Moore contributed 120 to the score. * c • University v. North Shore. This match was played on the Devonport Domain. The pitch was anything but good, and displayed many peculiar characteristics. North Shore's innings realised 234, against University's total of 39.
