Last Saturday was set aside by West End Club as a visiting day, seven teams going to Carlton and two to* Victoria green. Both visits proved enjoyable ones. At Carlton
the home team won in the aggregate by six points—ll(s to 110, while the. West End-ens' first-yeuir colts but their opponents by 3 points, -fUr a very interesting game.
At .Victoria Green ...the -afternoon's play resulted in West End being beaten, by 11 points, J. Le.t'hani going down to Allan by 8, and W. Doyle to" Raynes by 3.
At Carlton, the R3V. Smailes, P. Darby and A. Tonkin skipped the winning teams, beating' A, Holmes Packman and Gillies by 6. 10 and 3 respectively.
Con. Maker and Co. had a day off, being down in their game, with Sneddon's combination, while the team skipped by R Noton suc■sumbed to that of O'Sullivan, being defeated'2B to 16.
Jack Becroft and Co. put up a good fight with A. Foake.s, and only required two points'to tie on-the last head.
T. Wynyard' had charge of the colts, and. ran out a winner by 3 points from Cross.
The winter green''will be "opened for play on Saturday. Those, members still in the Handicap Pairs and Singles are requested to "push on" with their games' to decide the section winners, so that the semi-finals and finals can be completed at an early date.
Members are reminded that Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.'in each week has been set aside as social evenings during the- winter months.
