It would be a sane and pleasant thing if some revolutionary sports body were to initiate a return to something like the ancient plan of a laurel wreath for an athletic victory. There is an awful lot of the pot-hunting elep ment about trade picnics and sports, and evep the "sport'"Mvho considers himself a thorough-going' amateur is too often a mere trophy-hunter—Wel-lington " Free Lance."
