S.-Your little tale, "^ Willies Wart." is so tender that when handed to the fullback he burst out crying, and it was washed to sea in a flood of tears. H B—Yes. but the better conditions now obtaining in the Post Office service were secured by an obscure country paper. Officials always do claim the credit. Y. M.—Not the slightest objection to the "manhood factory," simply holding that much money is spent on young men who don't need spoon-feeding, and for whom spoon-teeding is bad. Purity.—Your rather lurid story of one of Auckland's leading butcher's little American honeymooning trip while his wife stayed " behind, etc , etc., requires a little more confirmation. We are not rushing woman s " clack " into our columns. Cleric.-In reality you are not distressed th«t »Aucklanders are almost irretrievably wicfeed. What you mean is that IOU.OOO people are not as good as you. Really an endeavour to get this paper to throw the limelight on your virtues. It can't be done.
