There are four "Dandy" companies under Mr Branscombe's banner, and it is probable that those now in Australia will tour the Dominion. It is also probable that next Avinter Mr Branscombe will have the whole four "Dandy" companies playing the big centres in New Zealand. Mr Branscombe has made very complete arrangements with a number of leading comedy artists at Home and in America to visit Australia and New Zealand each -season.
It is a question that is hotly dp 1 i still whether, all things taken into account, butter-making does not remain the more profitable, stable and reliable department of the dairying industry, and in the circumstances, producers would be well advised to weigh well the advantages and disadvantages of each branch when thinking of forsaking butter for cheese.—Palmerston " Standard."
There can't be too many Molloys in the hotel trade in Auckland, because the way they conduct their hostelries is a lesson and enlightenment to all licensees. Curious how the Molloys shift along like chessmen. Murray Molloy, who learned how to conduct a hotel under father Joe's guidance at the Anchor Hotel, and who became licensee of that hotel when his father migrated to the Ponsonby Club Hotel, has now moved up a step by taking over the Victoria Hotel, while ' his uncle (Joe's brother), C. P. Molloy, who has had charge of the Kaitaia and Waiuku Hotels, takes the conductorship of the Anchor Hotel.
