A few chains from the shore, fish of various kinds may be caughr. in abundance, at any state of the tide, while inland, and within threehundred yards of the spacious, and well laid-out grounds of " Mon Desir " visitors can reach the banks of Lake Takapuna, a picturesque expanse of fresh water, where good trout fishing is obtainable. Around the Lake, trait-cars run at frequent intervals The beneficial climatic influences on the physical, mental and moral well-being of visitors to Takapuna is a question worthy of the attention of all who would enjoy a healthy, happy and comfortable .
